On Saturday 1st September the club hosted its annual COLIN PALMER JUNIOR TOURNAMENT.

This event is generously supported by the late Colin Palmer's daughter's, Janice and Rachel.

Colin was a stalwart member of the club and committee for many years and an accomplished tennis player, who wanted his legacy to continue by  making tennis an inclusive activity within the community.

We were delighted and encouraged by the turnout and the standard of play on the day.

Entrants ranged from 11 to 16 years of age, playing without a handicap system, so some challenging yet enlightening games for some of the younger players!

The final culminated with twin brothers Finley and Byron Miller, aged 14, competing against one another!

In an exciting match Finley managed to seize the title. Third place went to Cameron Raven.

Lanyards were awarded to all the players.  All the medals were provided by Colin's daughters ,as were the refreshments for players and spectators.

We were treated to an exciting morning of tennis and once again glorious weather!
